This is a symbolic painting.
In traditional Mithila, Bhagwati is the Maithil term for the Goddess and is referred with most of the Hindu Goddess. Bhagwati Ghar or Siragu ghar ( Temple of Goddess) is there in traditional Maithil household mostly at their native village home.
