Surya (Sun) in Mithila (Digital printed on Canvas)

Back after a hiatus. This time with a fresh tool and style for the motifs of Mithila /Madhubani Paintings.

The painting is of Sun along with the motifs of flowers and leaves in background and borders in the theme of Mithila / Madhubani Paintings. As I have mentioned in my earlier posts, in Mithila, Sun is worshiped as a God. So the paintings of Sun are also in human form with a human face. The colour has been highlighted with Yellow as the light from the Sun makes it to appear.

Sun is considered as the symbol of Positivity, Light, Truthfulness etc.

This painting has been digitally made on smartphone Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with the help of S-Pen and printed on Canvas. This style is a fresh move in the field of digital Mithila / Madhubani Paintings. Here the outcome of the paintings are almost similar to those made by brush and paint. This painting could also be printed on other materials.  Here, the size of the canvas in the picture is 24 inch x 24 inch.

Mode: Digital Painting
Tool: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and it’s S-Pen.
Printing: Printing on Canvas
Artist: Nupur Nishith
