Kamal (Lotus)

Made as one of the four in the series for 4 vertical costers.

ThemeLotus as a symbol for auspicious , purity

Here the pattern of Lotus has been inspired from the Aripan (Floor Painting) made in Mithila during the festival of  BratriDwitya (Bhaidooj). Bhai Dooj is festival celebrated between brothers and sisters, normally two days after Diwali.  The design of this painting depicts the Lotus inside the Paan (Betel) Leaf (you can see the inverted heart shape as the symbol of Paan ).
