Tote Bag (Fabric) printed with Sun motif of Mithila / Madhubani Painting

Tote Bag made of cloth has been printed in the motifs of Mithila / Madhubani Painting

Sun motif in digitally created Mithila Painting was printed on the tote bag with the use of the screen printing technique of printing. 

I wanted to to keep the design simple but stylish so for a change had to let go of the borders. However, since the bag was in offwhite colours I had plenty of options to play with the colours, so went all out with bright colours.  

I have hand painted a lot on fabric but this was the first time with screen printing. When I went for the screen printing method as an experiment, I was scared that the intricate detailing in the Mithila painting might not come good, but was pretty surprised at the outcome. Although, I got this printed as an experiment quite some time back , somehow, I had not posted it till now.
