These are tin cookie cans which have been recycled and painted to be used as decor. Motifs of Mithila / Madhubani painting have been hand painted to decorate the Cans.

The highlighted features of paintings are of Krishna-Radha (white base) , Lotus (Red base) , Peacock (Purple base), Shankh (Greeen base) , Godna Dolls (Blue base ). The style of design have been tried to be with modern twists with the traditional motifd of Mithila paintings.

Cans were  washed and sanded to remove the food particles, dust, paint etc. The base coat of primer was put on all the cans. Acrylic paint, Enamel paint and Brush have been use for the details in the paintings. Final coat of clear varnish was used to seal the paint. Since lots of coat of paint was used I am not sure it may be used to store food items though inner side was not painted. However they can easily go with any decor.

Had made these some time back though couldn’t post here.
