As mentioned in my earlier post of two of the plant pots Plant pots with saucers in Mithila painting (Yellow and Red bases) , posting a couple of plant pots hand painted this summer.
Plant Pots and saucers made of terracotta have been hand painted in the theme and motifs of Mithila / Madhubani Painting.
In the first pot the base has Blue with Yellow on top and strips of Red with the motifs of peacock and flowers in the highlighted white stripe in center of the pot with other motifs decorating it and motifs of Shankh and flowers have been incorporated in various styles on saucer.
In the second pot the base has Green with Yellow on top and strips of Red with the motifs of Shankh and flowers in the highlighted white stripe in center of the pot with other motifs decorating it and motifs of Shankh, Lotus and flowers in various styles on saucer.
In the design it has been tried to blend the traditional motifs with contemporary style.
These plants pots may be used both indoors and outdoors. However when used outdoor the weather changes may have an effect in the longer run.
Base: Terracotta Pot and Saucer
Paint: Outdoor Acrylic with coat of varnish to finish.
Mode: Handmade Painting
Artist : Nupur Nishith

October 17, 2014 - 12:08 am ·Thanks Garima for the compliments.
Yes I use brush for all detailing and outlining.
Frankly the answer to your second question even I don’t know. I guess with practice control over brush is better.
