Mural on Walls and Ceiling – Disney House

Artist Nupur Nishith handpainted the mural on the walls and ceiling of the Powder room in the apartment of famous Disney family.
Acrylic paint was used to paint the mural with help of brush on the walls and ceiling.

About the Painting

The theme denotes happiness, joy, togetherness, journey, positivity, optimism. Sun forms the epicenter as the symbol of positivity , growth , development, optimism and all the other elements are approaching. There is a lady in all glory dancing with joy and happiness. There is a eternal glow. There is a family bonding together set on a journey in a boat in shape of fish.  They are are surrounded with nature , birds, animals, flora and fauna. The ceiling was also painted with elements of flower and leaves.

The design was inspired from the motifs of Kacchni style of Mithila / Madhubani Painting popular folk art from India.

Mithila Artform is famous for the details in the paintings in a flat two-dimensional perspective with no shading or overlapping. Taking it to the next level Artist draws inspiration from experience and surroundings. Objects and situations have been visualized in two-dimensional perspective to create the motifs and designs which makes her art unique and distinct. Symbolic motifs and designs to be incorporated in the paintings. Mithila paintings use natural and bright colors with symbolic distinct features which she likes to experiment. She likes to work mostly freehand without using any stencils or pattern tools on my various projects.

So, every piece has a story to tell based on the research and its process of development.
